ANDREA STOCKARD

For as long as I can remember, I have always found solace in writing and acting. I began acting in local theaters at the age of 5 (Goldilocks and the Three Bears was my first play), and in the days of computers that saved green-lettered stories to floppy disks, I would write my own stories and pass them around to the neighbors.

 

Since having moved to LA from Nashville, I have been in local commercials, independent films, studied with some of the highest acclaimed acting coaches and written my own shows that are currently being pitched. I dove into the waters of performing standup comedy, improv shows and joined writers groups. I have also interned at an acting studio, experienced the world of background acting and worked at a background casting facility.

My favorite shows that I connect my acting and writing to include Broad City, Workin' Moms, Dollface, Workaholics, New Girl, The Other Two, Happy Endings, Dead To Me and more. My heart resides in single-cam comedies, however I also feel I was born to play multi-cams, and we stan a good drama. I love sinking my teeth into anything juicy, and I want to be one of those actors who does it all: comedies, dramas, dramadies, writing, showrunning, executive producing and directing.
