HBO’s “Minx” Takes us Back to the 70’s Asking, “Feminism or Pornography? Or Can It Be Both”?

Set in the 70’s during the second wave Women’s Rights Movement, Minx tells the story of Joyce Prigger (Ophelia Lovibond), a young and eager visionary who dreams of winning a Pulitzer Prize, determined to get her feminist magazine The Matriarchy Awakens published. The only problem is that the publication-world is male-dominated by those whose last desire is to see a photo of a power-driven, wild-looking woman yelling “Women Await!” on the cover.

"The Flight Attendant" is Genius for Building Layers of Story Line (Season 1)

Season 1 of The Flight Attendant is a well-crafted balance of comedy and drama all wrapped up in a murder mystery and the hotmess-ness of the 30-something-year-old alcoholic, Cassie Bowden (Kayley Cuoco). Bowden is a flight attendant who likes to party, partake in one-night-stands, drink while working and least but not least, drink. Bowden’s alcoholism makes for a unique take on a storyline that could have otherwise been lacking.
